Veganism and sustainability are gaining popularity worldwide. In the food industry it is indispensable and in the fashion industry you see more and more labels including vegan & sustainable alternatives in their collection. But the supply of sturdy vegan women’s shoes is still scarce.
A Perfect Jane is the first vegan & sustainable women’s shoe label from the Netherlands. A crowdfunding campaign has been started to launch the collection.
The idea for A Perfect Jane arose because Suzanne Harper herself was looking for beautiful & tough vegan women’s shoes. This turned out to be more difficult than she had thought.
As a great lover of animals, nature and a passion for fashion, I went looking for a way to combine this, and I succeeded! I have developed a beautiful and sturdy shoe line that does not involve animal suffering and is also environmentally friendly, says Harper.
The first collection consists of 3 different models and is made of vegan leather, a combination of corn and recycled PET. The bright green sole printed in a leaf grain conveys the sustainable character of the label.
Harper: Good for people, animals & the environment. And that fits perfectly with our mission! We cannot wait to launch our collection.
The first collection is ready to conquer the world. To start production, Harper has started a crowdfunding campaign via CrowdAboutNow. In total, a minimum of 75,000 is needed, of which 60% has already been achieved with 38 investors within a few weeks. To actually start, a minimum of 30,000 is still needed.
